Preparations to Hold the "Olive Festival" at the Permanent Exhibition in King Abdullah II Gardens

The Head of the Irbid Governorate Council, Dr. Eng. Munther Al-Bataineh, announced the start of coordination and discussions with the Agriculture Directorate and relevant authorities to hold the "Olive Festival" in the governorate. This stems from the strategic importance of the olive tree and the economic and social value this product holds for the people of the governorate, which is considered one of the Kingdom's governorates hosting the largest number of olive trees and farmers.

Al-Bataineh confirmed that the festival will be held at the permanent exhibition for rural products located in King Abdullah II Gardens, which was inaugurated by His Majesty the King and is supervised by the Investment Corporation. He pointed out that the concerned authorities have taken all necessary measures and are continuing their intensive meetings with various related parties to finalize the arrangements for the event.

He explained that the exhibition will feature broad participation from various sectors in the governorate, with a special focus on supporting productive families and local cooperatives to provide a direct marketing window for their homemade and agricultural products.

Al-Bataineh emphasized that the corporation management's keenness to organize this exhibition comes to reinforce the distinguished reputation that Irbid olives enjoy at the Kingdom's and global levels, given the high-quality olive oil with unique specifications produced by the governorate.
