Northern Military Zone Foils Infiltration Attempt and Arrests Individual

The Northern Military Zone, on Sunday, thwarted an infiltration attempt by an individual across one of the border fronts, after border guard forces managed to detect him while he was attempting to cross the border in an illegal manner.
The border guard forces dealt with the infiltrator according to the rules of engagement in place, and they managed to arrest him and prevent him from crossing the border, before transferring him to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him.
The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army affirmed that the border guard units continue to perform their duty with vigilance and firmness, within the framework of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom's borders and preserve its sovereignty, and to counter any infiltration attempts or illegal activities that may affect the security and stability of the homeland.
