Netanyahu Threatens 'Stronger Response' If Enemies Attack Israel Again

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video released by his office on Monday, warned of "stronger strikes" if "Israel's enemies" decide to launch a new attack.

Speaking about the destruction of Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Ali Taher heights in southern Lebanon on Thursday, which he described as an "achievement," Netanyahu said, "I say to our enemies, if you have not yet learned the lessons and decide to attack us again, you will receive much stronger strikes."

Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statement on Thursday that the Israeli army had destroyed Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Ali Taher hill area, thereby completing the establishment of the security zone in southern Lebanon.

Israel has accused Hezbollah of digging tunnels in this area, which enabled it to launch drones and missiles at Israeli military sites in southern Lebanon, as well as northern Israel.

Netanyahu added on Monday, "Our policy is clear, we will continue to destroy the terrorist infrastructure in the security zone in Lebanon. We will continue to eliminate any threat facing the State of Israel."

The war in the Middle East extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah, an ally of Tehran, launched missiles at Israel in response to the killing of the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei on the first day of the US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran on February 28.

During negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, the United States, the sponsor of the talks, proposed that the Lebanese army control the Ali Taher heights, but Hezbollah rejected this, according to a source close to the negotiators.
