This amount, provided entirely since July, places Musk at the top of the list of major individual donors for the elections scheduled for November, according to The New York Times.
His total spending during the current election cycle reached $366 million.
The largest recipient of the funding was the Republican Party's "Senate Leadership Fund," which received $158 million with the aim of maintaining the party's control over the upper chamber of Congress.
This is not the first time the head of SpaceX and Tesla has spent huge sums in US elections, as he contributed $290 million in 2024 to support the re-election of Donald Trump.
Trump allowed Musk to work in the White House for months to oversee his cost-cutting initiative, the Department of Government Efficiency, but he left his post after a public dispute with the President.
However, they have since mended their relationship, and Trump awarded Elon Musk the "National Medal of Science" at an event held in Washington last week.
