“Mafraq Municipality”: Naming two streets to commemorate the victims of the town of Hamoud

The Greater Mafraq Municipality Committee has decided to name two streets in the city of Mafraq after two of the victims of the Hamoud town church incident in Karak Governorate, to commemorate their memory and affirm national solidarity with the victims' families and stand by them in their affliction.

The head of the Mafraq Municipality Committee, Dr. Mohammad Khalaf Al-Fayez, said that this step comes as an expression of the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, and embodies the standing of the nation's people from north to south in one rank against terrorism, and consolidates the values of solidarity and brotherhood that unite Jordanians in various circumstances.

Al-Fayez added that this naming carries a message of loyalty and solidarity with the victims' families, and confirms that the affliction that befell the people of Karak is the affliction of all Jordanians, and that Jordanian cities share sadness just as they share joy under firm national and humanitarian bonds.

He pointed out that naming the two streets confirms that the memory of the victims will remain present in the conscience of Jordanians, and that national unity and solidarity among the nation's people will remain a fortress against everything that targets Jordan's security and stability.

He emphasized that Jordan will remain one family, bringing its people together through love, belonging, and a common destiny, and that the pain of Karak is the pain of Mafraq and all the Kingdom's governorates, in an image that embodies the unity and cohesion of Jordanians in the face of adversity.
