Madaba Directorate of Culture organizes a book fair in cooperation with the municipality

The Madaba Directorate of Culture, in cooperation with the Greater Madaba Municipality, implemented today a book fair at the municipal library, containing publications by the Ministry of Culture, running for two days, as part of the directorate's plan for the year 2026.
The head of the municipal committee, Engineer Haitham Jweinat, said during the opening of the exhibition that the exhibition constitutes a qualitative addition to the cultural scene in Madaba Governorate, contributes to enhancing cultural momentum, and provides citizens with the opportunity to view various types of books and benefit from them for free.
He added that the municipality attaches special importance to cultural and knowledge activities, stemming from its role in serving the local community, pointing out that the municipality works on holding a book exhibition on an ongoing basis to make knowledge accessible to everyone.
The exhibition contains numerous publications by the Ministry of Culture and the municipal library in all fields of knowledge, distributed as gifts from the Directorate of Culture, which has consistently held these exhibitions in various parts of the governorate to encourage reading and book acquisition, and to enrich individuals' libraries in accordance with their cognitive interests.
