Ma'an Tourism Director Hamza Krishan said that the festival came to present diverse tourist experiences that Ma'an is rich in, starting with the Syrian Hajj Trail, which Ma'an is famous for due to its historical location, and this trail was embodied through a camel caravan that used to depart from Syria and various regions of Jordan, settling in Ma'an for two days, before continuing its journey to the Holy Land.
Krisha added that visitors experienced this experience on the ground with the presence of the camel and Hajj caravan that departed from the Bedouin market in the city center, alongside the embodiment of the presence of King Abdullah I bin Al-Hussein in Ma'an, and how the locals welcomed him with songs, chants, and Arabian horse shows.
Krisha pointed out that the embodiment of these experiences came in cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the Ma'an Governorate Council, as part of the Kingdom and the world's celebrations of World Tourism Day.
According to Krishan, the festival was keen to revive the songs and chants of the popular heritage through several segments presented by Ma'an, Al-Rajaf, and Al-Marygha bands, in addition to the festival witnessing a display of handicrafts produced by women of the local community.
Krisha revealed that the festival witnessed the introduction of a historical craft, represented by the ancient Tibni brick, which was used to build houses until the beginning of the last century, in addition to highlighting the historical sites famous in the governorate, such as Ma'an, Petra, Shoubak, and Adhruh, among others.
Krisha explained that Ma'an tourism is keen to launch an integrated program that reflects what the city is famous for in historical sites, such as visiting the castle, the Ottoman Saraya, the old market, and the Shami and Hijaz orchards, and this program is crowned by visiting the King Founder's Palace, which is an important part of the nation's narrative.
Krisha affirmed that Ma'an is rich in historical, cultural, and national milestones, considering it the first capital of Jordan, considering that the focus of His Majesty with his continuous directives and the interest of His Highness the Crown Prince in supporting the tourism sector, gives the sector's practitioners in Ma'an an incentive to diversify in holding events and activities, with the aim of attracting tourists and introducing them to what Ma'an is famous for, in terms of diverse heritage.
The festival was attended by a wide audience of locals and visitors, who expressed their admiration for the live stations it included, which embodied the history and authentic heritage of Ma'an City.
