Ma'an Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj reviewed the water situation in the governorate's regions and the progress of current and future projects during his visit today, Tuesday, to the Ma'an Governorate Water Administration, where he met with the Management Contract Director, Engineer Mohammad Al-Asoufi.
Al-Asoufi reviewed the progress of water and sanitation projects currently under implementation, most notably the project to provide sanitation services to the Governorate neighborhood, funded by the Governorate Council, which has been completed, in addition to the Al-Shamiya neighborhood project.
Al-Hajjaj was also briefed on the awarding of the sewage line repair works on Palestine Street, opposite the Directorate of Education, to a contractor, with work scheduled to begin within two days after completing the necessary coordination.
Al-Hajjaj emphasized the necessity of activating emergency plans in preparation for the current winter season, ensuring the continuity of water supply to citizens, alleviating their burdens, and increasing the readiness of the relevant teams to deal with potential damage to sewage networks.
He stressed the importance of benefiting from the experience of last summer, planning early for the coming summer, and following up on the implementation of the funded projects announced by the Water Authority during previous visits, most notably the projects to improve water networks in the Ma'an district, Al-Husainiya district, and Al-Marigha sub-district.
