The "All Jordan Youth Commission", the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, launched the dialogue and training project "Political and Democratic Empowerment (Roles Awaiting Us)".
This project covers all governorates of the Kingdom, embracing the energies of promising Jordanian youth to be true and active partners in decision-making and in keeping pace with comprehensive modernization tracks (political, economic, and administrative).
In this context, the Director of the All Jordan Youth Commission, Abdul Rahim Al-Zawahrah, stated that the program aims to create safe and wide-ranging dialogue spaces that allow youth to discuss national challenges and issues in depth, and to submit practical recommendations to various decision-making circles. He pointed out that the project focuses fundamentally on the tracks of the national reform triangle, supporting state efforts to integrate youth energies within the political, economic, and administrative modernization system.
He added that this current cycle of the program witnesses the engagement of an elite group of Jordanian young men and women aged between 18 and 35 who have a track record of community, voluntary, and entrepreneurial initiatives and participation. Participants will undergo a series of in-depth meetings and dialogues that shed light on societal challenges and build sustainable solutions for them.
Al-Zawahrah explained that the program's mission is to build a conscious, empowered generation equipped with high leadership knowledge and capabilities, capable of entering public work and political participation with confidence and competence, and leading constructive national dialogues that effectively contribute to the sustainable development process and the shaping of the national future.
He pointed out that the program aims to promote a culture of purposeful and constructive dialogue among participating youth and the acceptance of other opinions, enhance youth participation and open direct channels of communication between them and official and civil expertise houses and decision-makers, in addition to expanding the base of participation by opening up to various ideas and visions to ensure a broad and objective representation of Jordanian youth. It also aims to boost youth self-confidence by equipping them with the knowledge, science, and skills necessary for true empowerment, and to shed light on various societal challenges and come up with practical recommendations to address them.
Regarding the conditions for participating in the program, Al-Zawahrah explained that the applicant must be of Jordanian nationality, fall within the targeted age group of 18 to 35, be active in public work, and have contributions and community initiatives in various political, social, economic, entrepreneurial, charitable, and voluntary fields, in addition to full commitment to the objectives, vision, and mission of the project and working according to its various implementation stages.
The "Roles Awaiting Us" project is considered a pioneering national platform that establishes a new phase of active youth participation through knowledge to serve Jordan and its prosperous future.
