Director General of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Samer Al-Muflah, said that investing in youth leadership constitutes a fundamental pillar in the Fund's development directions, based on its belief that empowering youth is not limited to developing their capabilities, but extends to enhancing their role as partners in determining the priorities of their communities and contributing to addressing their challenges and shaping their future.
He added that the All Jordan Youth Commission represents one of the main tools for translating these directions into practical programs and initiatives, pointing out that the Youth Leadership Preparation Camps project comes within this approach, by building youth capabilities capable of transforming knowledge and skills into initiatives with tangible impact, and enhancing the presence of youth in local development paths throughout the Kingdom.
The project is scheduled to go through several implementation stages, starting with promotion and announcing the opening of registration, followed by screening applications according to specific criteria to select participants, then implementing specialized training camps at the regional level, and finally evaluating the project's outputs and measuring its impact, in a way that supports the development of the experience and enhances its sustainability in the future.
The preparation for launching the project comes within the framework of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development's efforts to enhance the role of youth in national development, and to provide opportunities that enable them to develop their potential and employ it in the service of their communities, in a way that enhances their effective participation in the development and modernization process in the Kingdom.
It is worth noting that the camps have targeted, during three previous sessions, 360 young men and women from various governorates of the Kingdom, with the aim of preparing effective youth leaders and enhancing their role in local development.
