Labor: 9 Days Left to Legalize the Status of Illegal Workers

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, Muhammad Al-Zayid, confirmed on Monday that there are 9 actual working days left in the period for legalizing and reconciling the status of illegal non-Jordanian workers, which the Council of Ministers decided in June last year and will end with the end of the working day on 2026/9/30.

He pointed out in a press statement that the working hours of the labor directorates continue daily until 5:00 PM, including Saturdays.

He called on employers in all sectors, including homeowners, to correct the status of illegal non-Jordanian workers working for them to avoid placing a "deportation" mark on each male or female domestic worker on the electronic systems of the Ministry of Labor and issuing a fine of no less than 800 dinars for the employer for each worker caught working for them in violation of the provisions of the law.
