The staff of the Health Affairs Directorate in the Greater Karak Municipality seized (35) kilograms of chicken unfit for human consumption inside one of the food establishments, during their inspection and monitoring tours.
According to the municipality, it was found during the inspection that the seized quantity had been cooked a day before and then frozen and stored for reuse, which led to its seizure due to its unsuitability for human consumption.
The entire seized quantity was destroyed in accordance with the regulations, in coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities, and legal measures were taken against the violating establishment.
The municipality confirmed the continuation of its morning and evening monitoring tours on establishments and markets, to ensure the safety of circulating food and compliance with health requirements, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
