Interior Minister: The Karak operation is a terrorist act carried out by a group of extremists

Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said on Friday that Jordan is facing a terrorist operation carried out by a group of extremists, confirming that this act is condemned in all its details.

Al-Faraya added, during a press conference in Karak Governorate, that "this act has struck the homes of Jordanians at their core," expressing his condolences to the families of the martyrs, the people of Hammoud village, the people of Karak, and the people of the nation in general.

Al-Faraya prayed to God to forgive the martyrs, have mercy on them, and grant them entry into His vast paradise, and to heal the wounded and injured, noting that security services are working around the clock to reach the perpetrators.

He confirmed that all necessary measures have been taken to deal with the incident, transport the injured to the hospital, and provide healthcare to the wounded, pointing out that the government will do everything necessary to help the families of the martyrs overcome this ordeal and difficult circumstance.

Al-Faraya said that "this cowardly terrorist act, which was carried out by a group that has no connection to human values in any way, shape, or form," only increases the determination and insistence of Jordanians to move forward in rejecting violence and extremism and fighting and combating terrorism in all its forms.
