Al-Hariri condemns the terrorist attack on the Hamoud church in Karak

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri condemned, on Friday, the terrorist attack on a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak, expressing his solidarity with Jordan.

Al-Hariri said via X that "the cowardly attack on the Karak church in Jordan is a terrorist assault on all of God's mosques and His teachings. Full solidarity with Jordan, its King, government, and people"

Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya said on Friday that Jordan is facing a terrorist operation carried out by a group of extremists, emphasizing that this act is condemned in all its details.

Al-Faraya added, during a press conference in Karak Governorate, that "this act has struck Jordanians in their homes," expressing his condolences to the families of the martyrs, the people of Hamoud village, the people of Karak, and the citizens of the nation in general.

Al-Faraya prayed to God to forgive the martyrs, have mercy on them, grant them spacious paradise, and heal the wounded and injured, pointing out that security agencies are working around the clock to reach the perpetrators.

He confirmed that all necessary measures have been taken to deal with the incident, transport casualties to the hospital, and provide healthcare to the injured, noting that the government will do whatever is necessary to help the families of the martyrs overcome this ordeal and difficult circumstance.

Al-Faraya stated that "this cowardly terrorist act, carried out by a group that has no connection to human values in any way shape or form," only increases Jordanians' determination and persistence to move forward in rejecting violence and extremism, and in combating and fighting terrorism in all its forms.
