Health Launches "Whats Through" to Facilitate Receiving Chronic Disease Medications in 4 Health Centers

The Ministry of Health launched the "Whats Through" service for receiving chronic disease medications in 4 comprehensive health centers in the capital Amman starting from today, Saturday, aiming to facilitate and expedite the receipt of patients' medications and reduce waiting time.

According to the Ministry's statement today, Saturday, the service allows patients to receive their medications from a designated counter after they are prepared in advance without the need to wait inside the center or visit the pharmacy.

The patient benefits from the service by scanning the QR Code assigned to the health center, published on the center's Facebook page, which directly transfers them to the center's WhatsApp account and the "Whats Through" service, where the patient sends clear images of the required documents, including the prescription, health insurance card or exemption, the white card for the center or transfer, and reports of treatments that require copies for the pharmacy.

After sending the request, the pharmacy team reviews it and prepares the treatment on the system within 48-72 hours, then sends the patient a message via WhatsApp when the preparation is complete, including confirmation of the treatment readiness and specifying the pickup time.

At the specified time, the patient goes to the designated counter for the "Whats Through" service at the health center, where they complete the billing procedures and receive the treatment from the same counter without the need to wait inside the center.

The current phase includes 4 comprehensive health centers: Sweileh Comprehensive, Khreibet Al-Souq Comprehensive, Wadi Al-Seer Comprehensive, and Sahab Comprehensive.

The Ministry explained that the service came from the innovative ideas and development initiatives presented by its health cadres, where it was first implemented at Sweileh Comprehensive Health Center by the initiative of the center's director, before it was developed and expanded to include a number of health centers.

It affirmed its support for the innovative ideas and initiatives presented by its cadres, encouraging them to provide solutions that contribute to the development of services, facilitate patients' access to them, and benefit from successful experiences and expand them.

It pointed out that the service contributes to facilitating the receipt of chronic disease medications and simplifying the procedures for dispensing periodic treatments, which saves time and effort and reduces congestion inside health centers.

It indicated that the experiment will be evaluated through patients' and health cadres' feedback and feedback, to develop the service mechanism in preparation for its dissemination to the rest of the health centers in the capital and its expansion later in various governorates of the Kingdom.
