Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan said: Our country has promising opportunities that outweigh the challenges we are accustomed to, and we will face and overcome them under our wise Hashemite leadership.
During his visit to the Ministry of Investment and his chairing of the Investment Council session, the Prime Minister emphasized that development, industrial, and free zones are not merely investment or commercial spaces, but integrated development tools that contribute to supporting the national economy, achieving development in the governorates, and providing job opportunities for the local community.

He indicated that these projects will certainly be a motive and incentive to attract more local and foreign investments in various sectors, stressing the importance of forming local alliances for major projects.
The Prime Minister said during the session: We have clear goals to improve the business and investment environment through regulatory reforms, simplifying procedures, developing digital services, strengthening public-private partnerships, and supporting investors, with the aim of increasing and expanding local and foreign investments, stressing that this is not the effort of the Ministry of Investment alone, but an effort required from all ministries and institutions as well.
He added: "I am proud of the work and effort being done by the government's economic team and the Central Bank."
Regarding Jordan's hosting of the Jordanian-European Investment Conference, which will be held at the Dead Sea in November, the Prime Minister emphasized that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, enjoys the trust and respect of the entire world, and the European Union in particular, confirming that we want this conference to emerge in a manner worthy of Jordan's reputation and status.
In this regard, he pointed out that we want to build on the other opportunities and horizons before us, such as His Majesty the King's recent visit to the People's Republic of China to encourage partnership and foreign investment.
During the session, the Investment Council discussed the reality of investment opportunities and projects, the incentives provided for investment, and the preparations for hosting the Jordanian-European Investment Conference and the opportunities it provides in various sectors, as well as discussing the modernization of legislation regulating the investment environment.
Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh presented the projects being worked on within the Economic Modernization Vision, ways to enhance services provided to investors, and the digital transformation of businesses.
Abu Ghazaleh pointed to the legislation that has been updated as part of the government's efforts to develop the investment environment, most notably the amendment of the Investment Environment Regulation Bylaw issued recently, which aims to enhance the stability of economic policies, consolidate confidence in the business environment, raise the efficiency of the investment service system, accelerate procedures, reduce timeframes associated with issuing licenses and approvals, support the digital economy and creative industries, and other advantages.
In this regard, he emphasized that the government has established a policy to encourage local investment alliances in projects based on not offering any government project for investment without local participation of at least 30 percent, due to its importance for the growth momentum of the Jordanian economy.
He also pointed out that the Ministry continues to work on preparing the Investment Funds Draft Law for the year 2026, with the aim of creating a unified and integrated legislative framework that regulates various types of investment funds, enhances the attractiveness of the investment environment, attracts regional and international funds, supports the capital market and asset management, and provides modern financing and investment tools, noting that studies, legislative analysis, legislative options, and a comparative study have been completed.
