The Children's Climate Academy, affiliated with the Greater Amman Municipality, organized a workshop titled "Building Institutional Capacity in Climate Awareness and Education for Children," with broad participation from representatives of entities and institutions concerned with environmental awareness and training.

The workshop was organized on the occasion of International Climate Action Day, in line with the Municipality's vision to enhance environmental and climate awareness among children, develop the skills and capabilities of functional and institutional staff, and raise the level of coordination and cooperation between various sectors.

The Municipality emphasized that building a more sustainable future begins with developing children's knowledge, empowering them to understand climate challenges, and actively participating in finding solutions and positive practices that contribute to protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.

The workshop included a review of the Municipality's efforts in environmental work through an introductory video about the Academy and its goals.

The workshop included discussion sessions that focused on discussing the roles and responsibilities of participating institutions in the field of climate awareness and education for children, identifying mechanisms for coordination and joint cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality to ensure the sustainability of these efforts, in addition to reviewing best practices and successful experiences in climate awareness aimed at children, and exchanging expertise on how to transfer knowledge and simplify complex climate concepts to reach children in interactive and engaging ways.

Presentations were also given on the experiences of institutions and companies in the field of environmental training and awareness.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participants and an emphasis on formulating practical outputs and recommendations that contribute to developing future programs and initiatives, and enabling institutional staff to communicate climate knowledge using innovative methods and entrenching sustainable behaviors in society.

The Children's Climate Academy seeks to provide an interactive educational environment aimed at simplifying climate concepts, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical practices, and developing a spirit of innovation, responsibility, and participation among children, which enhances their future role in protecting the environment.
