The statement added, "This citizenship and coexistence among the people of Karak society are rooted in social and moral values, and in tribal customs and traditions recognized for hundreds of years. The foundation of coexistence lies in national belonging and a shared destiny, supported by common values such as refraining from aggression, chivalry, honor, nobility, and protecting guests. These pure, authentic Arab values are the true and recognized law in Karaki tribal customs and throughout Jordan, from north to south and east to west. These tribal traditions have been practiced for hundreds of years, and differences in belief have never played a divisive role in Karaki society."
The statement pointed out that this heinous crime is unprecedented and alien to Karaki and Jordanian customs, carefully planned from abroad, deliberately targeting Karak and carried out by individuals who lost their way after their minds were washed with misleading, extremist ideologies that disregard human dignity and humanity."
The statement clarified that the aim is to incite sedition, divide ranks, spread chaos, and tear apart the national fabric. However, the extremists of this era will never succeed in tearing apart the national fabric or eradicating the customs, traditions, and values deeply rooted in Jordanian society, which will stand united against this alien, extremist ideology.
The statement said, "Today we gather to share with our brothers in the Karaki village of Hamoud their immense and tragic loss, and to let them feel, even from abroad, our solidarity with them, offering sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy. We pray for divine mercy upon the righteous martyrs of Hamoud Church, their families, loved ones, and all those touched by this grievous tragedy."
It noted that when death snatches a person from among their family and loved ones, it leaves a deep wound that words cannot heal. Yet, the duty of loyalty requires us to face this tragedy with hearts filled with sorrow, minds holding fast to wisdom, and consciences that refuse to let pain turn into hatred or allow the tragedy to become a cause for further division and separation.
The statement emphasized that a person's worth is measured by their ethics, humanity, and moral conduct toward others—not by their sect or differences in belief. But when a house of worship suffers a tragedy, the pain does not belong to one group alone; it touches the entire human conscience and calls upon us to stand sincerely by universally recognized human values and the preservation of human dignity.
