The briefing was attended by a number of representatives from official media outlets, local newspapers, and international media operating in Jordan, specializing in economic and investment affairs.

The conference will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, with the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, on November 19 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea, preceded by specialized sectoral events by special invitation on the 18th of the same month.

Minister of Government Communication Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani emphasized that the conference reflects Jordan's status, its wise leadership, and the depth of its strategic partnership with the European Union, forming a message of confidence in the Kingdom's investment environment and the promising opportunities it provides.

He explained that the briefing aims to inform the media about the conference's preparations, objectives, and economic and investment dimensions, and to ensure the accurate transmission of its proceedings and investment opportunities, pointing to the importance of highlighting the expected impact of these investments in providing jobs, developing skills, and boosting production and exports.

Al-Momani indicated that the media is an important partner in highlighting Jordan's investment advantages, introducing the conference's opportunities, and following up on its outcomes, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Government Communication, the Ministry of Investment, and the work teams concerned with the conference to maintain continuous communication and coordination with journalists, provide press materials, and facilitate interviews with officials, investors, and representatives of companies and financial institutions, thereby supporting comprehensive professional coverage of the conference's work and results.

For his part, Minister of Investment Dr. Tariq Abu Ghazaleh emphasized that the conference represents a milestone in translating the strategic and comprehensive relations between Jordan and the European Union into long-term investment partnerships, and in enhancing the Kingdom's position as a secure gateway for investment in the region and a base for companies wishing to expand their business and access regional and global markets.

He explained that the conference puts before investors a package of more than 40 investment opportunities exceeding a total value of $15 billion in sectors prioritized by the national economy, pointing out that this figure represents the value of the proposed opportunities, and that work focuses on linking them with investors, financial institutions, and partners capable of developing, financing, and implementing them.

He noted that the conference targets the participation of more than 700 leaders, investors, and decision-makers, alongside Jordanian, European, and international companies, as well as financial and developmental institutions, allowing for the discussion of opportunities, implementation requirements, and commercial, financial, and regulatory aspects directly with the concerned entities.

Abu Ghazaleh stated that the positive economic indicators recently recorded by the Kingdom reinforce confidence in its investment environment, stressing Jordan's keenness to enhance Arab investment and economic integration and build partnerships that contribute to expanding market access, developing investments, and achieving mutual interests.

He explained that the conference's work focuses on five main pillars, including technology, the future of energy, high-value industries, logistics services and infrastructure, and water security, reflecting the Kingdom's priorities and opportunities for investment cooperation with the European side.

The technology pillar discusses investment opportunities in software, digital services, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centers, and semiconductors, building upon Jordanian competencies to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a regional technology hub.

The energy pillar explores investment opportunities in renewable energy, storage, grid development, green hydrogen, and green ammonia, as well as the regulatory and financial frameworks necessary to attract long-term investments.

The high-value industries pillar focuses on industrial partnerships, technology transfer, value chain development, and export capabilities, while the logistics and infrastructure pillar addresses transport opportunities, railways, and strategic projects supporting trade and market connectivity.

The water security pillar also discusses technologies and projects that enhance the sustainability and efficiency of water supplies, as well as cooperation among relevant entities, technology providers, and investors to develop viable and financable solutions.

Abu Ghazaleh pointed out that the strategic and comprehensive partnership between Jordan and the European Union is based on a financial and investment package of about 3 billion euros for the period 2025–2027, including about 1.4 billion euros in additional investments, alongside grants and concessional financial assistance.

He emphasized the importance of the participation of financial institutions and development partners in discussing financing options and investment structuring, utilizing guarantees, risk mitigation tools, and public-private partnerships to enhance the bankability and implementation of projects.

Abu Ghazaleh affirmed that the Jordanian private sector is a key partner in the conference through business meetings, sectoral dialogues, and communication with European companies to build investment and trade partnerships and enhance the integration of Jordanian companies into regional and global value chains.

He added that Jordan relies in attracting investments on its stability, strategic location, and trade agreements, alongside the path of economic reform and modernization and business environment development, which enhances its position as an attractive investment destination and a secure gateway to Arab and global markets.

Abu Ghazaleh stressed that the conference forms an opportunity to highlight these competitive advantages and shed light on Jordanian competencies and creative youth capable of efficiently executing business, employing technology, and developing innovative solutions, emphasizing that Jordanian human capital is a fundamental pillar for the success and growth of investments.

He stressed that the conference aims to attract qualitative investments that contribute to job creation, knowledge and technology transfer, increasing the added value of Jordanian production, and enhancing its competitiveness, confirming that the follow-up of opportunities and communication with investors will continue after the conference to push projects towards negotiation, financing, and implementation, and to build partnerships that achieve mutual economic interests.

The program includes high-level dialogues on the Jordanian-European partnership, financing mechanisms, and Jordan's role in economic connectivity and market access, alongside sectoral sessions and business meetings, while the pre-conference day activities cover specialized topics in energy, technology, industry, transport, urban development, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
