As part of the activities of the sixth edition of the “Give Us Childhood” Arab Children’s Theater Festival, a scientific artistic seminar titled “The Impact of Theater on Child Psychology” was held, with the participation of Dr. Muaibid Khalaf Rashid, Dr. Sarah Talib Al-Suhail, and Dr. Hammam Abduljabbar Al-Sulami from Iraq, moderated by artist Nasr Al-Zoubi.
The seminar shed light on the role of theater in influencing a child’s psyche, enhancing their psychological and social development, and the importance of theatrical arts in understanding the world of children and expressing their needs, as part of the intellectual program accompanying the festival’s performances.
The festival is organized by the Children’s Cultural Club Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Zarqa Directorate of Culture, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ihab Bali for the Higher Committee and the management of director Sami Al-Majali, while the performances are held at the King Abdullah II Cultural Center in Zarqa, alongside artistic workshops and critical meetings aimed at exchanging Arab expertise in the field of children’s theater.
The organization of the seminar comes within the framework of the festival’s keenness to combine theatrical performances with specialized intellectual discussions, contributing to strengthening the presence of children’s theater as an artistic and educational space that supports children’s growth and enriches their cultural experience.
