From Training to the Labor Market.. Ongoing Partnership between the Education for Employment Jordan Foundation and Amman Grand Hyatt Hotel

The Education for Employment Jordan Foundation (EFE-Jordan) and Amman Grand Hyatt Hotel continue their ongoing partnership since 2021, which focuses on developing the skills of Jordanian youth and preparing them for work in the hospitality sector, through training programs linked to labor market needs and the nature of jobs in the sector.
Within the framework of this partnership, both parties held a strategic meeting to discuss the future of cooperation and the next phase, and to explore the developments in the hospitality sector and the skills and competencies it requires, as well as exploring new areas through which training and employment programs can be developed.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the previous cooperation experience and discuss ways to enhance the alignment of training programs with the actual needs of the sector, ensuring the continued development of youth skills in accordance with the changing work environment.
Since the launch of the partnership, 53 young men and women have benefited from the joint training programs of the two parties, and 43 of them have been able to secure employment opportunities in the hospitality sector, reflecting the link between training and actual job opportunities in the hospitality sector.
The partnership also focuses on providing young people with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to integrate into the work environment, as well as introducing them to the nature of jobs and the requirements of work in the hospitality sector, helping them to transition from training to work and build professional experience.
This cooperation is part of the efforts of the Education for Employment Jordan Foundation to build partnerships with the private sector based on the needs of employers and contribute to developing training programs more closely linked to the actual demand for skills and available job opportunities.
The Foundation and Amman Grand Hyatt Hotel look forward to building on what has been achieved over the past period and continue to develop the partnership through new opportunities for training and employment, expanding the professional paths available to Jordanian youth while supporting the hospitality sector's needs for local competencies.
