"Fatah" Central Committee welcomes the postponement of the Palestinian legislative elections

The Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" discussed, in a meeting on Tuesday, the latest political and field developments, in light of the escalating attacks by the occupation and settlers in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as a number of internal organizational issues and affairs of the movement.

The Central Committee welcomed the decision of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which was approved by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas through a presidential decree, to postpone the legislative elections, in light of the continued Israeli escalation and its measures against the Palestinian people, in addition to the security conditions and obstacles that prevent ensuring they are held in a free and fair atmosphere, and that ensure the participation of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, the continued crimes of the occupation and settlers on all Palestinian lands, and the logistical conditions.

It emphasized the importance of continuing the comprehensive national dialogue with various Palestinian forces and factions, and giving an opportunity to the efforts of this dialogue, in a way that strengthens national unity and preserves the unity of the land, the cause, and the national decision.
