Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdoor, has decided to extend the working hours at expatriate health centers and central laboratories starting Saturday, September 12, 2026. This move aims to expedite medical examinations during the remaining period for regularizing the status of expatriate workers and to issue their results without delay.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health on Friday, the decision came following discussions regarding the delay in issuing test results for expatriate workers' samples, which was caused by the heavy turnout at expatriate health centers. This surge resulted from the Cabinet's decision last June to regularize the status of expatriate workers until the end of September 2026. The decision was formulated during a meeting held at the Ministry of Health, bringing together the Secretary-General for Primary Health Care and Epidemics at the Ministry of Health, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labor, the directors of the Chest Diseases and Expatriate Health Directorate, Occupational Health, and the Laboratories Directorate at the Ministry of Health, alongside the Director of Expatriate Affairs at the Ministry of Labor.
