Iranian state television reported on Wednesday that an explosion was heard near the Strait of Hormuz, amid ongoing escalation this week between Iran and the United States.
The television stated, "A few minutes ago, the sound of an explosion was heard from the Strait of Hormuz. The nature or source of the incident has not yet been announced."
