Discussion on Preparations for the Hisn Cultural Festival

The committee approved the general program of the festival and its events, and set the launch date for October 23 and 24 in the Hisn area, as part of the cultural events held on the occasion of the selection of Bani Obaid District as the Jordanian Cultural District for the year 2026.

Al-Jarrah confirmed the municipality's support for the festival and its keenness to provide the necessary facilities and logistical support to ensure the success of its events, reflecting the cultural and social heritage of the city of Hisn and Bani Obaid District, and enhancing the cultural and artistic presence in the region.

For his part, Naser reviewed the vision of the festival and the program of its first session, which includes cultural, artistic, theatrical, and literary events, programs for children, exhibitions of visual arts, crafts, and handmade works, in addition to the bazaar, popular foods, and productive kitchens.

He pointed out that "Maqidiyah" aims to establish an annual cultural and artistic festival starting from Hisn, carrying the identity and history of the place, and expanding its presence in future sessions to form a space for the Jordanian and Arab cultural and artistic presence.
