Dialogue session at the That Ras Ladies Association for People with Disabilities

The That Ras Ladies Association for People with Disabilities, in cooperation with the That Ras Social Development Association, hosted a dialogue session conducted by the Crown Prince Foundation, with the participation of twenty-five women, a number of representatives from educational institutions, activists, and local community leaders, with the aim of enhancing community dialogue and highlighting the role of women and youth in active participation in various developmental and social fields.

The session, which was interactive in nature, addressed a range of issues and themes related to the reality of women and youth and their role in local community development, the importance of providing spaces that allow them to express their opinions, present their ideas, and discuss the challenges they face, in addition to promoting a culture of community participation and collaborative work between local institutions and stakeholders.

The session witnessed the participation of a number of schools in the town of That Ras, alongside several local community leaders and activists in various fields, where opinions and experiences were exchanged on ways to enhance women's presence in public life, expand their participation in community initiatives, and activate the role of youth in creating a positive and sustainable impact in their communities.

The President of the That Ras Ladies Association for People with Disabilities, Fadia Al-Rawashdeh, emphasized the importance of organizing such dialogue meetings that open the way for women to listen to different points of view, exchange experiences and expertise, and strengthen confidence in women's capabilities and potential to participate in the local development process.

Al-Rawashdeh said that hosting this session comes within the framework of the association's keenness to provide a supportive environment for dialogue and communication, and to enhance women's presence in issues that concern society, noting that the participation of twenty-five women, along with representatives of educational institutions, activists, and local community leaders, reflects the importance of joint work in building a more cohesive and cooperative society.

She added that empowering women is not limited to providing opportunities for them, but also requires listening to their opinions and ideas, benefiting from their experiences and capabilities, and involving them in setting priorities and contributing to finding solutions to the issues facing the local community, stressing the importance of continuing to hold meetings that raise awareness and support initiatives aimed at serving the community.

Al-Rawashdeh pointed out that the partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation and local community institutions represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and develop initiatives that respond to the needs of citizens, noting the importance of expanding areas of cooperation between associations, educational institutions, and community organizations, in a way that enhances volunteer work and consolidates the values of social responsibility and belonging.

The session formed a space for exchanging ideas and experiences, and enhancing communication between the participants and local community institutions, contributing to building effective partnerships that support the participation of women and youth, and opening broader horizons for community initiatives aimed at developing the local reality and achieving sustainable development.
