Denunciation and condemnation of the shooting incident at a funeral in a church in Karak Governorate

The Mubadara Party parliamentary bloc expresses its deep denunciation and strong condemnation of the shooting incident that occurred during a funeral at a church in Karak Governorate, which represents an unacceptable assault on the sanctity of death and human dignity, a threat to the security and tranquility of society, and an infringement upon the values of brotherhood and tolerance that have always formed firm pillars in Jordanian society.
The bloc extends its sincerest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to grant his family and relatives patience and solace. We also ask God for a speedy recovery for the injured, and to grant them health and wellness.
The bloc affirms that such unfortunate incidents do not represent the morals or authentic values of Jordanians, and that the Jordanian national fabric will remain resilient against anything that might undermine its unity or sow discord among its sons, Muslims and Christians alike, in light of a deep-rooted history of love, brotherhood, and partnership in building the nation and safeguarding its achievements.
While affirming its confidence in the state's institutions and competent agencies, the bloc stresses the necessity of taking the necessary measures to uncover the circumstances of the incident and hold those responsible accountable in accordance with the provisions of the law, so as to ensure the achievement of justice, the consolidation of the rule of law, and the protection of citizens' security and peace of mind.
The bloc also calls upon all the Jordanian people to rally around the wise Hashemite leadership, to stand as one in the face of everything that threatens the security and stability of the homeland, to exercise the highest levels of national responsibility, to avoid being drawn into rumors or circulating unverified news, and to leave room for the competent authorities to perform their duty in verifying the facts and announcing them through official channels.
The Mubadara Party parliamentary bloc affirms that Jordan will remain, God willing, a model of national unity and cohesion among its people, and that the strength of our nation lies in the cohesion of its people, the awareness of its sons, and their rallying around their leadership and state institutions, no matter how intense the challenges may be.
May God keep Jordan safe and stable, protect its Hashemite leadership, have mercy on the deceased, and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
