In the presence of an elite group of Arab and international media professionals and experts, Bahraini media personality and journalist Dalal Al-Alawi is participating as the sole Bahraini representative in the fourth edition of the Future of Media and Communication Forum, hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman, under the theme "A Changing World," organized by the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists.
Al-Alawi's selection as a speaker at this media forum reflects the presence of Bahraini media talent on Arab and international dialogue platforms, and their contribution to discussing the transformations reshaping the media landscape and the future of the content industry.
Al-Alawi is participating in a panel discussion titled "How long will the podcast remain at the forefront of the scene? Secrets of success," during which she will open one of the most prominent contemporary media files, raising questions about the reasons for the rapid rise of podcasts and their ability to maintain their position in light of fierce competition among digital platforms.
The session sheds light on the true criteria for podcast success and discusses an issue that has imposed itself on the media scene: Does the quality of dialogue and content create the success of a podcast, or have the fame of guests and viewership numbers become the most prominent standard for reach and influence?
It also addresses the future of this industry, the challenges related to credibility, content, and innovation, and the extent of the podcast's ability to continue as an influential media platform, rather than just a passing digital phenomenon.
Al-Alawi's participation gains special importance as the only Bahraini media voice participating in the forum, allowing for the transfer of the Bahraini media experience to a wider space of dialogue and the exchange of visions and expertise with Arab and international media figures.
In its fourth edition, the forum examines a number of pivotal issues that define the features of the future of media, including artificial intelligence, press freedom, media credibility, digital transformation, and the challenges facing press institutions in a world where variables are accelerating and tools of influence are changing.
This participation confirms the importance of the presence of Bahraini media professionals in specialized forums, their contribution to enriching professional discussions about the future of journalism and media, and strengthening the presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Arab and international media scene.
