West Irbid Municipality signed a cooperation and support agreement with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), valued at 310 thousand euros, aimed at developing the municipality's container factory and increasing its production and operational efficiency, thereby contributing to improving the level of municipal and environmental services provided to citizens.
The agreement includes support for developing and modernizing the factory's infrastructure, equipping it with modern devices and equipment, as well as implementing technical and administrative practices that contribute to raising production quality, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing costs.
The head of the West Irbid Municipality committee, Mohammad Ali Al-Qudah, affirmed that signing the agreement comes within the municipality's direction toward strengthening partnerships with international institutions and organizations, and attracting grants and external support to contribute to developing productive and service projects and achieving sustainability in municipal work.
Al-Qudah said that developing the container factory represents an important step toward enhancing the municipality's capabilities and raising the efficiency of one of its productive projects, noting that the provided support will contribute to modernizing the factory, increasing its production capacity, and improving the quality of its products, enabling it to meet the needs of the municipality and the local community more efficiently.
He added that the municipality is working on investing in these partnerships to implement projects with a sustainable impact that contribute to improving services provided to citizens and enhancing municipal resources and capabilities, expressing his appreciation for the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and its cooperation with West Irbid Municipality.
