Awareness Lectures in Tafila Schools on the Book and Artificial Intelligence

The lectures showcased examples of human intelligence achievements, starting from scientific inventions and discoveries to space exploration and advancements in industry, agriculture, and commerce, alongside the most prominent uses of artificial intelligence in performing complex calculations and processing large amounts of data.

They also discussed the risks associated with the misuse of these technologies, including the weakening of thinking and creativity skills, privacy violations, and the potential exploitation of voice, image, and video imitation technologies for misinformation or harm to others.

The lecturers emphasized the importance of conscious engagement with artificial intelligence technologies, not relying on them for school assignments and expressions, and using them as an auxiliary tool rather than a replacement for thinking, while adhering to ethics, respecting others' privacy, and minimizing their usage to avoid overuse.

Mahmoud Al-Amaira, Acting Director of the Tafila Culture Directorate, said that these lectures are part of the directorate's plans to provide cultural and awareness spaces for students, enhancing their abilities to consciously deal with technological transformations, contributing to building a generation that possesses the knowledge and ability to responsibly employ technology.
