An Arab resident was injured on Wednesday due to falling ballistic missile shrapnel in the city of Riyadh, according to the Saudi Civil Defense.
The Civil Defense stated that its teams in Riyadh dealt with the fall of ballistic missile shrapnel after it was intercepted and destroyed, having been launched by the Houthi militia, resulting in the injury of an Arab resident and limited material damage to a residential home and a vehicle.
In recent weeks, most Houthi strikes have targeted infrastructure in the capital's suburbs or Riyadh airport, but downtown residents have increasingly heard loud explosions and seen interceptor missiles in the skies.
Frequent strikes on Riyadh airport included one that resulted in the deaths of 13 people and the injury of more than 300 others on Saturday, in the deadliest attack on Saudi soil in over a decade. At least 20 people have died in total Houthi attacks on Saudi airports since last week.
