Arab League: Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Arab national security

The Arab League condemned the attack that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, reiterating its rejection of the assaults targeting Saudi territory, which are attributed to the Houthis in Yemen.

The League affirmed that targeting civil aviation facilities and endangering the lives of passengers and workers constitutes a violation of international law and threatens the safety of civilians, international air navigation, and the security and stability of the region.

The League renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the legitimate measures it takes to protect its security and the safety of its lands, citizens, and residents, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced, at midnight between Saturday and Sunday, the death of 12 people and the injury of 309 others as a result of the attack.

The Authority explained that the deceased include 4 Saudis, two individuals of Bangladeshi nationality, and one person each from the Jordanian, American, Egyptian, Syrian, Palestinian, and Sudanese nationalities.

It added that the injured are receiving medical care in a number of hospitals, including critical cases, while material damages are still being assessed.

Saudi authorities suspended operational activities at King Khalid International Airport following the attack.
