He added that the Mafraq Governorate Council placed the project of constructing a new building for the directorate among its priorities, based on the importance of developing the infrastructure of educational institutions and addressing the reality of the current building, which suffers from age and dilapidation, in addition to its location in the middle of the commercial market and the traffic congestion it causes during official working hours.
Al-Amoush pointed out that the council followed up on the file in coordination with the Education Directorate for Mafraq Qasaba, and worked on rearranging project priorities and searching for financing alternatives that would allow for the implementation of the project, including reconsidering some small projects and classroom additions, with the aim of providing the necessary allocations for constructing an independent building for the directorate.
He explained that the council had previously announced, in earlier statements, the intention to construct the building on a plot of land covering about 7 dunams outside the commercial market, which would provide a site more suitable for the nature of the directorate's work, contribute to alleviating traffic pressure in the city center, and facilitate access for employees and visitors.
Al-Amoush valued the efforts of Mafraq Governor Dr. Osama Al-Hashim in following up on the project, stressing the importance of partnership and integration between the governorate, the Governorate Council, and the Education Directorate in transforming demands into practical steps that serve the public interest.
He emphasized that the next phase requires completing the necessary procedures for the project and following up on the stages of its implementation, leading to the construction of a building that meets the administrative and technical needs of the directorate, provides a suitable work environment for employees, and raises the level of services provided to visitors, stressing that the council will continue to follow up on priority projects that affect the needs of citizens and institutions in Mafraq Governorate.
