Amniah's Cyber Security Operations Center Renews PCI DSS Accreditation to Enhance Payment Data Protection for Financial Institutions

Amniah, one of Beyon's companies and ranked as the best mobile network in Jordan, announced that its Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) has recently renewed the compliance certificate for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which is concerned with protecting payment card data according to internationally recognized security requirements and controls, after undergoing an independent evaluation, thereby continuing to maintain the accreditation since 2019, affirming the continuous application of internationally recognized payment data protection controls.

The renewal of the accreditation reflects the center's ongoing commitment to implementing information security requirements and compliance within its operational practices, thereby enhancing its ability to support financial institutions, fintech companies, and payment service providers in protecting their data and managing their digital risks.

The importance of this accreditation is particularly highlighted for banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and electronic payment service providers, which operate in environments that require high levels of governance, oversight, and data protection. In this context, the presence of security controls subject to independent evaluation is an important factor when selecting cybersecurity service providers and assessing their operational readiness.

The renewal of the accreditation extends the role of Amniah's Cyber Security Operations Center in providing round-the-clock managed cybersecurity services, including threat monitoring and incident response, based on specialized technical expertise and operational capabilities. The center combines these capabilities with an understanding of the security and regulatory requirements of institutions, thereby supporting clients in managing their digital risks and protecting their sensitive assets and data.

Amjed Frouka, Executive Director of Information Security and Business Continuity at Amniah, said: "Maintaining PCI DSS accreditation since 2019 reflects a continuous approach to implementing, reviewing, and evaluating data security controls, confirming that the importance of accreditation is not limited to meeting the standard's requirements, but extends to the confidence it provides to clients when engaging a cybersecurity service provider operating in environments that require high levels of oversight and compliance."

Frouka added: "Financial and banking institutions today operate in an ever-evolving digital environment, while also subject to stringent regulatory and security requirements. Therefore, the selection of a security service provider is not based solely on technical capabilities, but also includes the level of governance, compliance, and operational readiness. The renewal of PCI DSS accreditation enhances our ability to meet these requirements and provide managed services based on clear controls and specialized operational expertise, thereby giving our clients greater confidence in managing their risks and protecting their sensitive data."
