The Director General of the Youth We Are All Jordan Authority, Abdul-Rahim Al-Zoubi, sponsored the graduation of participants in the second cycle of the first level of the Environmental Specialist Diploma, titled 'Strategic Foundations for Environmental Management, Economics, and Sustainable Environmental Governance', which was held at the Training, Capacity Building, and Consulting Center of the Jordanian Environment Society, with the participation of representatives from a number of national institutions and the private sector.

Al-Zoubi emphasized that His Majesty King Abdullah II has given special attention to Jordanian youth, recognizing their pivotal role in building the future of the nation and advancing its progress, noting that the royal vision towards youth forms a clear roadmap for empowering them and enhancing their participation in economic, political, and social life, contributing to achieving sustainable development and keeping pace with changing global challenges.

He said that the Authority, the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, works to translate the royal vision in the field of youth empowerment and preparing them for the labor market and linking them with the private sector, alongside building effective and capable youth leaderships that can contribute to serving society. He pointed out that the Authority, through its branches in various governorates of the Kingdom, continues to implement training and rehabilitation programs targeting youth, working to develop their skills and link them with labor market needs, in addition to enhancing their participation in volunteer and community work.

Al-Zoubi confirmed that the Authority works to identify labor market needs in various fields and sectors and build its training programs according to these needs, explaining that the economic challenge is one of the most prominent challenges facing youth, which requires providing them with the skills and knowledge that enhance their opportunities to obtain employment.

He pointed out that the Authority relies on partnerships with institutions of the public and private sectors, civil society institutions, and specialized entities, to benefit from their expertise in providing quality training for youth, affirming that partnership forms the basis for developing programs and opening new paths for beneficiaries.

He added that volunteer work forms an essential part of the Authority's programs in building youth capabilities and enhancing their participation in serving their communities, alongside focusing on environmental and community issues and utilizing media and digital platforms to deliver awareness messages to wider segments, affirming that the Authority's doors are open to various institutions and associations, including the Jordanian Environment Society.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Environment Society, journalist Ali Ezzedine Freihat, emphasized the importance of strengthening partnership with the Youth We Are All Jordan Authority for its role in empowering youth, building their capabilities, and directing their energies towards volunteer work and environmental and developmental initiatives, pointing to the importance of preparing joint training programs targeting youth and implementing courses and workshops in environmental and developmental fields, in addition to studying the possibility of launching voluntary youth initiatives that contribute to serving the environment and society and enhancing the culture of volunteerism.

Freihat valued the role played by the Authority in training and preparing youth and enhancing their participation in community work, affirming the Society's readiness to provide its expertise in environmental and training fields and build joint programs focusing on environmental awareness, climate change, biodiversity protection, waste management, and sustainable development.

The Director of the Training and Capacity Building and Consulting Center and the Executive Director of the Society, trainer Maan Nassira, provided an explanation of the course, where the first level of the diploma covered a number of important axes, most notably sustainable environmental management, environmental legislation and governance, green and circular economy, natural resource management, sustainable development goals, green growth, occupational safety and health, noting that the launch of the second cycle comes as a continuation of the success achieved by the first cycle, which the Society implemented last week, and within the framework of the Society's ongoing efforts to build national capacities and prepare specialized cadres in the environmental field, in line with its orientations to spread environmental culture and enhance concepts of sustainability and environmental governance.

A number of participants expressed their happiness in participating in such courses and benefiting from the Society's expertise in the field of awareness on topics related to the environment and environmental impact.

At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by a number of the Society's cadres and members, including the consultant and media spokesperson, journalist Nadia Al-Ananzeh, and the member of the Women's Empowerment Committee, lawyer Samar Al-Jubra, and the member of the Media Committee, Rashid Freihat, and included a presentation on the achievements and journey of the Society, prepared by the Administrative and Financial Director and Training Coordinator Nancy Al-Khayri, Al-Zoubi presented certificates to the graduates and the two parties exchanged commemorative shields.

On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, Al-Zoubi toured the Society's facilities, including an environmental library, a training and capacity building center, an environmental knowledge station, and listened to an explanation of the awards the Society has won locally and internationally.
