Al-Tarawneh inspects schools of Southern Jordan Valley district and follows up on the educational process and students' needs

The Director of Education for the Southern Jordan Valley district, Dr. Issa Al-Tarawneh, conducted an inspection tour that included a number of the district's schools, as part of field visits aimed at following up on the educational reality, reviewing the progress of the educational and administrative process, and identifying the schools' needs, in a way that contributes to improving the school environment and elevating the level of educational performance.

During the tour, Al-Tarawneh was briefed on the reality of the educational and administrative process in the targeted schools, followed up on the regular attendance of administrative, teaching staff, and students, and discussed a number of issues related to administrative formations and school records, as well as the extent of compliance with instructions and regulations governing school work. He emphasized the importance of consolidating organized institutional work and enhancing coordination between school administrations and educational staff to ensure the smooth flow of work and provide a safe and stimulating school environment for learning.

The tour included field visits to school facilities and classrooms, reviewing the progress of classes, and attending a number of educational sessions to assess the level of classroom interaction, follow up on students' academic achievement, and the extent of employing educational methods that enhance their participation and support their acquisition of basic knowledge and skills.

Al-Tarawneh also met with high school (Tawjihi) students and listened to their remarks and needs regarding the educational process, emphasizing the importance of intensifying educational efforts, providing the necessary academic support to them, and following up on the implementation of study plans according to approved programs. This helps them prepare well for exams and achieve the best results, while enhancing opportunities for success and excellence.

In a related context, Al-Tarawneh followed up on the implementation of educational initiatives and programs in schools, most notably the high royal initiative "My School Belongs to Me" (Limadrasi Antami), and the national remedial interventions program. He stressed the need to activate these programs in a practical and sustainable manner, employ them in accordance with students' needs, enhance their sense of belonging to their schools, instill positive behaviors in them, and contribute to addressing educational weaknesses and improving their levels in basic skills.

He emphasized the importance of continuously following up on the impact of remedial interventions, identifying students' weaknesses, and working to address them according to clear plans, ensuring the improvement of academic achievement levels, alongside enhancing the role of the school in providing a supportive educational environment that takes into account individual differences and responds to learners' needs.

As part of supporting educational excellence, fostering a spirit of initiative, creativity, and voluntary work, Al-Tarawneh urged administrative and teaching staff to register and actively participate in the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Educational Excellence, the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work, and the El Hassan Youth Award. These awards represent opportunities to highlight educational achievements, stimulate creativity and excellence, and cultivate values of social responsibility and voluntary work among students and field educators.

At the end of his tour, Al-Tarawneh praised the efforts of school administrations, teaching, and administrative staff, and their continuous dedication to serving students and following up on their educational and pedagogical affairs. He stressed the importance of continuing to work as one team, enhancing effective educational practices, and paying attention to various administrative and educational aspects that contribute to developing school performance.

He pointed out that field visits represent a fundamental approach in following up on the reality of schools, direct communication with educational staff and students, and identifying priorities and needs, thereby supporting the Ministry of Education's efforts to improve the quality of education, develop the school environment, and enhance opportunities for excellence and achievement in the schools of the Southern Jordan Valley district.
