Al-Issawi: The King's speech at the UN consolidated Jordan's constants in protecting its sovereignty and interests

Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Hassan Al-Issawi, affirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah II's speech before the United Nations General Assembly reaffirmed the constants of the Jordanian state and its steadfast positions, reflecting Jordan's capability—led by its Hashemite leadership, institutions, and people—to protect its sovereignty, borders, and interests, and to safeguard its independent national decision-making.

This came during his meeting on Tuesday at the Royal Hashemite Court with a delegation from the Al-Abdallat clan, in the presence of a number of the clan's dignitaries, members, and youth.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Issawi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to the attendees.

Al-Issawi stated that the Royal messages were clear in emphasizing that Jordan deals with surrounding challenges with wisdom, responsibility, and firmness, and that any threat to its borders or water security affects its national security. He stressed that protecting the interests of Jordan and its people comes at the forefront of the priorities emphasized by His Majesty in various international forums.

He pointed out that His Majesty the King placed the international community before its responsibilities regarding just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, affirming that Palestine and Jerusalem will remain at the core of the Royal effort, and that the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem is a historical trust that His Majesty continues to shoulder and defend.

Al-Issawi noted that His Majesty the King constantly emphasizes that Jordan, despite the crises and challenges surrounding it, is moving forward in building its future, modernizing its economy and administration, developing education, and investing in human capital and technology, which directly reflects on the lives of citizens and provides better opportunities for youth.

He affirmed that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince supports the Royal efforts in the modernization process through his interest in youth, education, technology, skills, and entrepreneurship, and by expanding youth participation in the paths of building and achievement, thereby enhancing their ability to contribute effectively to their homeland's future.

He stated that Jordan's strength is based on the unity of its people, the cohesion of its internal front, and their rallying around their homeland and leadership, pointing out that dialogue, the rule of law, and prioritizing the national interest constitute essential pillars in the Jordanian state's journey.

For their part, the speakers from the Al-Abdallat clan expressed their pride in His Majesty the King's positions and their steadfastness to the covenant of loyalty to the homeland and the Hashemite leadership, affirming their standing behind His Majesty in protecting Jordan's security, sovereignty, and national interests.

They commended the contents of His Majesty the King's speech before the United Nations General Assembly, and what it included of a clear affirmation of protecting Jordan's borders, security, and water interests, and that the Kingdom's sovereignty and national security cannot be compromised.

They praised the steadfast Royal positions toward the Palestinian cause, the rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians, and the support for the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state, emphasizing the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and His Majesty the King's role in defending them in various international forums.

They affirmed their pride in the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army and security agencies, and their role in protecting the nation's security and stability, stressing that the Jordanian tribesmen will remain a unified صف behind the Hashemite leadership and in the trench of the homeland.

They also expressed their pride in the role played by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in empowering youth and opening new horizons for them in the fields of education, technology, entrepreneurship, and public work, affirming their aspiration to expand job opportunities for youth and enhance their participation in serving their communities.
