Head of the Al-Mubadara (Initiative) Party parliamentary bloc, MP Ahmed Al-Hmaisat, met on Sunday with representatives of the Change Mediators Center for Sustainable Development under the "Rural Youth Space" project, in the presence of MPs Shifa Al-Muqabla, Hakam Mu'adat, Ibrahim Al-Qaraleh, Othman Al-Makhadmeh, and Mohammad Al-Bustanji, along with a number of center representatives and participating youth, to discuss the key challenges facing the youth of Ajloun Governorate, ways to enhance employment, training, and qualification opportunities, and support local development.

Al-Hmaisat emphasized the importance of listening to youth demands and proposals and working to convey them to the relevant authorities, contributing to finding practical solutions to the challenges they face, particularly in the fields of employment, training, and qualification. He stressed the readiness of the Al-Mubadara Party parliamentary bloc to adopt recommendations that serve youth and enhance their opportunities in the labor market.

He pointed out that providing job opportunities requires strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, encouraging investment in the governorates, and supporting productive, tourism, and agricultural projects. He stressed the necessity of preparing clear, written recommendations and following them up with the ministries and concerned authorities to ensure they are translated into practical steps.

For their part, MPs Shifa Al-Muqabla, Hakam Mu'adat, Ibrahim Al-Qaraleh, Othman Al-Makhadmeh, and Mohammad Al-Bustanji stressed the importance of empowering and qualifying youth to meet the requirements of the labor market, developing vocational and technical training programs and linking them to market needs, and enhancing cooperation between official and civil society institutions. They also emphasized supporting investment and productive, tourism, and agricultural projects in a way that respects the specific nature and competitive advantages of Ajloun Governorate and contributes to reducing unemployment and providing sustainable job opportunities.

They stressed the need to adopt clear mechanisms to monitor employment and training programs and periodically measure their results, ensuring that they are not limited to the number of courses implemented, but rather encompass their actual impact in providing job opportunities for youth and women, and ensuring they reach rural and remote areas.

The meeting addressed the most prominent challenges facing youth, foremost among which are high unemployment rates, the difficulty graduates face in securing jobs due to a lack of practical experience, the need to develop vocational and technical training programs and link them to labor market needs, the establishment of a specialized laboratory for artificial intelligence and digital technology, and the activation of youth centers by equipping them with specialized trainers and sustainable training programs.

Participants also discussed ways to facilitate licensing procedures for tourism facilities in Ajloun, support agricultural projects and food industries, and develop youth skills in modern and organic agriculture, in alignment with the governorate's tourism and agricultural assets to open new horizons for employment.
