Al-Aqarba: Jordanian identity is a history we read, values we live, and a responsibility we bear

Dr. Fatima Al-Aqarba stated that the Jordanian national identity is not merely a name we take pride in, but a history we read, values we live, a responsibility we bear, and a future we work for. She expressed her hope that her book, "National Pulses with a Jordanian Identity," would contribute to enhancing awareness of national identity and reminding generations that Jordan is preserved through work, knowledge, loyalty, and belonging.

This came during the launch ceremony of the book "National Pulses with a Jordanian Identity," which was held under the patronage of former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan, Dr. Abdur-Raouf Al-Rawabdeh, in the presence of several figures interested in cultural and national affairs.

Al-Aqarba expressed her gratitude to Al-Rawabdeh for his patronage of the occasion, considering his support a boost for the book, the idea, and national culture. She noted that his presence added great value to the event, pointing out that his participation helped turn the launch into a space for dialogue rather than just a celebration of the book.

She valued the support of the Directorate of Military Media and the Military Documentation Center, noting that this support had a significant impact on the completion of the book by contributing to its revision, proofreading, and printing at the Military Press Command.

She said that the book includes political, military, and royal content, alongside events and situations documented with facts, incidents, evidence, and arguments, with the aim of clarifying them, conveying them to the youth, and enhancing their awareness, especially students at Jordanian universities.

Al-Aqarba appreciated this support as a backing for books, research, and documentation, and as a form of national cooperation, emphasizing that the integration of the author's efforts with the expertise of national institutions makes the work more established and the message more capable of reaching its audience.

She affirmed that the book comes within the framework of opening a dialogue about Jordanian identity, what it means to Jordanians, and how to preserve and pass it on to the future, calling on Jordanians to leave behind for future generations what is worth telling and being proud of.

In concluding her speech, Al-Aqarba thanked everyone who contributed to the completion of the book and everyone who encouraged her and participated in its launch, considering this moment an important milestone in her professional career.
