Ma'an Culture Directorate, in cooperation with the Community Police and Ma'an Youth Directorate, and under the patronage of the Ma'an Police Director, organized an educational theater show titled "Victims of Drug Poisoning", aimed at school students, to raise their awareness of the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on the individual, family, and society.
The theater show addressed the harms of drugs and their health, psychological, and social repercussions, and the negative impacts on an individual's life, future, and family and community relations, while emphasizing the importance of prevention and staying away from dangerous behaviors and bad company, and enhancing students' ability to make sound decisions.
The show used theater as a cultural, educational, and awareness tool to convey messages about the dangers of drugs in an interactive and impactful way, benefiting from the power of the dramatic scene to depict reality and bring concepts closer to students' minds, stimulating dialogue and reflection on the consequences of drug use, and the importance of seeking help and turning to family and competent authorities when needed.
This activity is part of the joint efforts made by cultural, security, and youth institutions in Ma'an Governorate to enhance awareness and early prevention among school students, and to establish a community culture that rejects drugs, and to protect young people from their dangers and effects.
Dr. Yousef Al-Shammari, Director of Ma'an Culture Directorate, appreciated the efforts of the Community Police and their theater team in the success of the event, and their outstanding performance that contributed to delivering the awareness message.
