A Fish Photobombs a Diver's "Selfie": A Humorous Underwater Snapshot

An attempt by a Japanese tourist to take a selfie while diving off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, turned into a humorous moment after a pufferfish swam right in front of the camera at the exact moment the picture was snapped.

According to the "Daily Mail," Sumire Kamiya, visiting from Okinawa, Japan, was taking pictures of herself amid a school of pufferfish when one of them passed directly between her face and the camera.

A Coincidence That Made the Shot

The precise timing resulted in the fish's head appearing almost in the exact position of the diver's head, making the photo look at first glance as though it depicted a human body with a fish's head.

Kamiya stated that she did not plan to take the picture this way and only realized how perfectly the fish's position aligned with her body after reviewing the shot later.

She added that this coincidence made the photo even more amusing, turning an ordinary underwater photoshoot into an unexpected snapshot.
