11 Displaced People Died, 14 Injured, and Dozens Missing Due to Building Collapse in Gaza City

11 Palestinians were killed, 14 others were injured, and dozens are still trapped under the rubble, following the collapse of a residential building damaged by Israeli occupation forces during the war, in the Industry area southwest of Gaza City.

Rescue teams in Gaza said that a six-story residential building collapsed on its residents and on tents for displaced people set up next to it, noting that they have been working since dawn on Wednesday to reach those trapped, amid a severe shortage of equipment and heavy machinery.

According to residents of the area, more than 60 people were living in the building, most of them displaced, and it had been damaged and cracked due to shelling by Israeli occupation forces.

It is noteworthy that the total number of martyrs has risen since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11 last year to 1,375 martyrs, and the injured to 4,686, while the total number of extractions reached 831 cases.

The toll of the genocidal war waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,789 martyrs and 174,798 injured.
