Who produced these people?

The motives for hate speech and the dissemination of takfiri ideology are no longer hidden in the dark or managed in remote, distant caves. Anyone who monitors social media and the deadly smoke and toxic vapors broadcast there—at every discussion, occasion, or event—by people who live among us and move through the pores of society, makes us realize the scale of the danger, the inevitability of the confrontation, and its high cost. Years of procrastination, negligence, or misjudgment of the scale and danger of the flaw hurt us when it suddenly rears its head. The results of hate speech and takfir are not just blood spilled and lives lost—this is the most painful and clearly visible symptom—but the division of societies, the fragmentation of national cohesion, and the resulting weakening of institutions, the dismantling of states, and the prevalence of destructive chaos are the most far-reaching and deeply devastating consequences for societies and states, and they are the ultimate goal of the advocates of takfir and strife.

A soft hand, and allowing dark intellectual environments to grow while we watch their sparks here and there without follow-up or pursuit, means that if we overlook a gesture, it becomes a word, and if we overlook a word, hatred grows and flourishes. From a post or comment that carries incitement, categorization, and division, elevates one group over another, cancels a right, and makes falsehood a truth, the black clouds multiply and the harmful plants spread. We find that decades of building, development, and fortification, in the face of a confrontation with unclear boundaries, threaten societal peace and national security, and erode the firm trust in the future of coming generations and their ability to continue the mission of building and development.

Today, we must transform the power of the shock into effective and influential institutional and societal action. There must be a deep legislative review, and the law must have the upper hand against every takfiri discourse that spreads hatred and incites against the nation's people and its institutions. There must be an educational approach that buries environments infested with dark ideology, and enlightenment culture must have a strong presence. Cultural action must move from the elite to become a share and a right for every citizen wherever they are, and we must take the youth to a state of human and national awareness that contributes to protecting the homeland, its people, and its capabilities. Today, we need official and societal solidarity within clear plans and firm measures, so that we all contribute to casting out all these renegades from religion, modernity, and humanity.

There is no room for complacency, pleasantries, or downplaying the meaning and indicators of what happened, for the one paying the price is the homeland. If we do not move now behind His Majesty the King, who has long stood against this darkness and warned of it locally, regionally, and in the Arab world, we will face more difficult challenges, God forbid. We must activate the factors of exposing all those who spread ruin with words and noise, and justify death for anyone who differs from them, disagrees with them in opinion, or is of a different color than theirs. Today, the homeland needs us to be with it; a homeland we suffer with, but we all rise to support it and purify it from the black tares.
