US authorities announced that federal agents responded on Monday to a report of a shooting incident near a mosque in the city of Columbus, Ohio, while local media reported that at least one person was killed.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Columbus stated on the X platform that "more information will be released as it becomes available."
Local media quoted police as saying that one person was declared dead shortly after 2:00 PM (18:00 GMT) and another victim was found, whose condition has not been disclosed.
