The Union of Charitable Associations appreciated the directives of His Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, during his chairmanship of part of the Council of Ministers session, which emphasized the necessity of placing the interest of citizens at the forefront of priorities, and working to improve their living standards, alongside monitoring plans and programs related to economic and service files, which is directly reflected on the lives of families and local communities.
The President of the Union of Charitable Associations, Amer Al-Khawaleh, said that the directive of His Highness the Crown Prince towards making the citizen a central focus in government work reflects the importance of continuing to develop policies and programs that respond to the actual needs of citizens, especially families facing economic and living challenges and requiring more sustainable programs with the ability to create a tangible impact.
Al-Khawaleh added that the focus on improving the living standard is not limited to providing direct assistance, but requires expanding the scope of economic and social empowerment programs that help families build their capabilities and find stable sources of income, thereby enhancing their ability to face economic circumstances and support their self-reliance in the long term.
He pointed out that the coming phase requires strengthening initiatives targeting families and the most needy groups, while taking into account the specificity of the needs of local communities and the difference in their priorities, affirming that charitable associations possess extensive field experience in reaching families and understanding their circumstances and needs, which makes them an important partner in implementing programs and initiatives with a social and economic dimension.
