Two silvers and a bronze for "finswimming" at the Asian Championship

The national junior finswimming team made a distinguished start in its participation in the Asian Championship, currently being held in China.

Swimmer Ghina Yassin succeeded in winning the silver medal in the 200m mono-fin race, marking a Jordanian achievement at the start of the continental championship competitions.

In the first day's competitions, swimmer Joy Abdelnour achieved fifth place in the 50m immersion race, while swimmer Khaled Nazzal finished seventh in the 200m bi-fin race, and swimmer Adam Al-Daqamsah came in eighth in the 50m immersion race.

On the second day of the championship events, the national team champions continued their brilliance by adding two new medals to the Jordanian tally, with swimmer Adam Al-Daqamsah winning the silver medal in the 100m immersion race, while swimmer Joy Abdelnour managed to win the bronze medal in the 100m immersion race.

In the remaining competitions, swimmer Ghina Yassin achieved fourth place in the 400m mono-fin race, while swimmer Khaled Nazzal finished sixth in the 50m bi-fin race.

The team's technical staff, led by technical director Ahmed Al-Akoush, aspires to continue achieving positive results and enhancing the Jordanian medal tally, reflecting the development witnessed by Jordanian finswimming.

This achievement comes in light of the Royal Marine Sports Federation's keenness to support the participation of national teams in continental events and provide opportunities for male and female athletes to represent Jordan and compete for top positions.

On the other hand, the national junior sailing team continues its participation in the Arab Championship for the Optimist class, held in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

The team is represented by Miral Abu Anzeh and Zein Al-Shwaikini, under the supervision of the team's technical director, Egyptian coach Omar Al-Zeini.

This participation comes within the federation's efforts to develop age groups and provide athletes with experience through engagement in Arab and international competitions.

The federation emphasized the importance of investing in age groups and building a broader base for the sport of sailing in Jordan, indicating that participation in such championships contributes to developing athletes' skills and raising their technical and physical levels, and gives them the experience of competing alongside athletes from various Arab countries, which enhances their readiness for upcoming events.

Furthermore, the senior national sailing team is preparing to participate in the international championship scheduled in the Egyptian city of Alexandria next month, as part of the federation's external participation program.
