Olympic champion of the Egyptian national taekwondo team, Seif Eissa, received widespread praise after winning the gold medal in the under 80 kg weight class at the Grand Prix in South Korea.
Seif, the sword of Egyptian taekwondo and the most prominent name in the sport in recent years, crossed global milestones to ascend the podium with high morale derived from his readiness for major events.
The beauty of this medal is enhanced by the fact that it came after an arduous journey in terms of the matches he played, especially since this tournament featured an elite group of world champions and the toughest competitors, with the Egyptian sword rising to the occasion.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports received the Egyptian national team delegation, and Dr. Abdel-Awal Mohamed, Director of National Teams, conveyed the greetings of Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil, who praised the development of taekwondo, the efforts made to that end, and the sport's global excellence.
He emphasized the role of the federation's board of directors, headed by Counselor Mohamed Mustafa, for the great work reflected in the achievement, as well as the technical staff and personnel.
In turn, the gold medalist, who possesses a vast resume of achievements according to "Alrai's" follow-up, explained that being consistently present on podiums gives him more motivation to continue working and developing during the coming period, to achieve better results in upcoming international tournaments and raise Egypt's name in various forums.
The golden Seif Eissa said that his ambitions will not stop and he will continue his journey with confident steps forward, as he described it.
On the field, the star began his journey in the Grand Prix by defeating the Tunisian champion 2-0. In the quarter-finals, he achieved a victory over the Spanish champion with the same result, then overcame the Greek athlete 2-1 to book his seat in the final match and secure a qualification ticket to participate in the G10 Grand Prix Final, scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan next November, which is considered one of the most important stops of the season, with the winner receiving 100 influential ranking points.
However, Eissa reinforced his presence and overcame the Russian champion, the gold medalist of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, in the final 2-0 to embrace glory in its grandest form.
The Egyptian taekwondo family experienced happy moments after this profound achievement, which intensifies the challenges to fulfill the ceiling of ambitions, at a time when the creative Seif Eissa received strong marks of excellence, just as that moment was described as historic.
