The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate clarified the details of the video that was circulated and showed a group of people assaulting an individual with sharp objects and one of them running him over.
The spokesperson confirmed that the video pertains to an altercation that took place in the Qwaismeh area east of the capital approximately two weeks ago and that the video is part of a dispute between the parties. At the time, all necessary measures were taken, the injured person was admitted to the hospital and is still under treatment with a moderate general condition. The rumor that his foot was amputated is incorrect. Upon investigation, he stated that a dispute occurred between him and those individuals, after which they assaulted him.
The spokesperson continued that three individuals involved in the altercation and assault were arrested at the time, and they were referred to the judiciary. They were detained in a rehabilitation center and subsequently referred to the administrative judge, who decided to release two of them on bail and detain them in a rehabilitation center, while a warrant has been issued for three other individuals who are still at large.
