The Northern Military Zone thwarted, on Friday, an infiltration attempt by a person on one of its border fronts, after border guard forces were able to monitor him while he was attempting to cross the border illegally.
Border guard forces dealt with the infiltrator in accordance with the rules of engagement, managed to arrest him, and referred him to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
The Jordanian Armed Forces continue to carry out their duties in securing and protecting the borders from infiltration attempts and illegal activities, as part of their duties to maintain the Kingdom's security and sovereignty.
