The Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday its intention to conduct a draw for the names of beneficiaries from the second batch of the land ownership project for teachers.
The Ministry clarified that it will conduct the draw in a live broadcast via its official Facebook page, at exactly 12 noon on Thursday, having finalized the final lists of teachers nominated for the second batch, numbering (482) male and female teachers.
The government had allocated (1039) plots of land for the establishment of housing for teachers in various governorates of the Kingdom, through the Public Institution for Housing and Urban Development, and offering them to teachers at discounts of up to 50% compared to similar plots of their market value.
This initiative came following the directives of the Prime Minister, Jafar Hassan, to allocate lands for the establishment of housing for teachers in the governorates, as part of an integrated package to support teachers of the Ministry of Education, in appreciation of their pivotal role in building generations, and as a translation of the government's belief in their societal and professional status, and the importance of improving the living conditions of teachers, and supporting and empowering them.
